WhatsQR
Privacy Policy

This page explains what WhatsQR collects, why we collect it, and who can see it. It is written for merchants, people who scan a QR, and anyone who sends us an enquiry. It is not legal advice.
Who we are
WhatsQR is the product at www.whatsqr.com. The apex name whatsqr.com redirects there.
For India, view packs and invoices may be issued by NexaChip. In other countries the contracting party is the entity named on your invoice.
What we collect
If you create an account we keep the email you sign in with, and your Google name and photo if you use Google.
If you verify a business we keep establishment details and the identity and licence files you upload. Those files stay in a private store. Only WhatsQR staff who need them for review can open them.
If you publish a menu we keep the products, photos, 3D models, hours, and other content you add.
If you buy views we keep pack requests, credits, and invoices. Card and bank details are handled by Razorpay, not stored in full on WhatsQR.
If someone scans a QR we count a view. To stop double-charging and abuse we may store a short-lived device fingerprint (for example an IP and browser hash). We do not use that to market to diners.
If you use the contact form we keep the name, email, phone, country, and message you send.
How we use it
We use this information to run WhatsQR: sign-in, KYC, hosting your public pages, counting views, sending sign-in codes and notices, taking payment for packs, and answering support.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use processors to run the service: Google Firebase (hosting, database, files, sign-in), Resend (email), and Razorpay (payments).
We may share information with staff who operate WhatsQR, or if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account, menu, and billing records stay while the account is open and for a reasonable period after, so we can issue invoices and handle disputes. View logs are kept for analytics for up to the retention window configured for your account. You can ask us to delete a merchant account; some records may remain where we must keep them for tax or security.
Your choices
You can update most merchant profile and menu data in the portal. To correct KYC files, close an account, or ask what we hold, use Support in the portal or the contact form on this site.
Children
WhatsQR is for businesses. We do not knowingly create merchant accounts for children.
How to reach us
Use the contact form on whatsqr.com, or Support in the merchant portal if you already have an account.
